Roles and permissions
In Dice Queen, the access and tools available to each participant in a campaign are clearly structured, ensuring security, privacy for notes and ease of running the game.
The three roles in a campaign
In any active campaign, there are three levels of participation:
1. Owner person (Owner)
- Who is: The person who originally created the campaign or the person to whom ownership of the table was formally transferred.
- Exclusive powers:
- Exclusivity in permanent exclusion from the campaign.
- Power to promote other narrators or demote them to players.
- Only authorized to transfer ownership of the table to another member of the narration team.
- The owner cannot be removed from the campaign or demoted by other narrators.
Find out how to transfer ownership in the article Transferring ownership.
2. Narrating person (Owner / Co-master)
- Who is: Member of the table’s team of masters (there may be more than one narrator in the same campaign).
- Accesses and controls:
- Full access to Behind the Scenes Mode to add, rename and organize materials.
- Live control of Stage Mode, Map Mode and Sound Desk.
- Access and edit all records of NPCs and players in the campaign.
- Ability to delete any message or inappropriate scrolling in the chat.
- Tag management and entry permission for new players.
3. Player person (Guest)
- Who is: Participant who connects to the campaign using the table invitation code.
- What you see:
- Only the layers and materials actively released in the stage broadcast by the narrator (backgrounds, activated portraits, cutscenes and music).
- Your own character sheets linked to the campaign.
- Public chat messages and scrolls, plus your own private whispers.
- What you don’t see:
- No access to Behind the Scenes, the list of hidden materials, secret notes or NPC and monster sheets.
