Map Mode
When the narrative requires millimetric tactical positioning, projectile range, wall coverage and distance control, Dice Queen’s Map Mode offers the classic grid battle experience of the best VTTs.
Map Mode Features
- Customizable grid: Switch between square or hexagonal grid, adjusting the scale of meters/feet per square and the opacity of the lines on the map.
- Tokens linked to tokens: Each character or monster token displays its circular miniature and can directly reflect the current Life Points (PV) of the linked token.
- Fluid movement: Drag tokens across the map with automatic measurement of distance traveled, avoiding discussions about movement limits.
- Objects and map elements: Place doors, chests, traps and barricades directly on the base terrain image.
Switching between Stage and Map
Dice Queen is designed to let you transition between cinematic storytelling and frictionless combat:
- In the campaign header, the narrator can switch the active view between the Stage and the Map at any time.
- During dialogues or descriptions prior to combat, keep Stage Mode active.
- As soon as combat begins, switch to Map Mode so that all players can see the battle arena.
- At the end of the confrontation, return to Stage Mode to celebrate the victory and describe the consequences!
