Magic and rituals
For characters who manipulate the arcane arts, divine energies or occult forces, the Spells and Rituals tab in Dice Queen offers complete visual control of castings, energy costs and sustaining effects.
Organization by circles or levels
Spells are structured by degrees of power:
- Circles / Levels (1st to 4th or 5th circle): Each section groups the spells of that level of complexity.
- Learning and preparation: You can mark which spells are known, learned or prepared for the day.
- Visual identification by element: Spells display colors and thematic icons based on the element or mystical school (such as Death, Blood, Knowledge, Energy, Evocation, Necromancy).
Conjuration with cost check
When you click “Cast” on a spell card:
- The casting dialog opens displaying the spell’s details (casting time, range, target, duration and resistance).
- The system automatically checks whether your character has enough Mana or Effort (EP) points available.
- If the system does not allow a negative energy balance (mana overflow), a friendly message warns that current resources are insufficient.
- When confirming, the cost is debited from your vital bar and the conjuration card is shared in the chat.
Concentration and bond support (Bond)
Many powerful spells and rituals require the character to maintain continuous concentration for the effect to remain active:
- Active bond indicator: When you cast a spell with continuous sustain, the name of the effect is highlighted at the top of your sheet as an active bond.
- Concentration limit rule: If you try to cast a second spell that also requires sustain while you already have another spell active, the dialogue issues a clear warning informing you that the new spell will replace the previous one.
- Ending the effect: You can cancel the support at any time with a single click on the active effect card, freeing your character for new spells.
