Videos and cutscenes
When a shocking revelation happens, a colossal monster awakens, or a ship takes off into the unknown, words may not be enough.In Dice Queen, the narrator can trigger videos and cinematic cutscenes in real time.
Why videos in WebM format?
Dice Queen exclusively adopts the .webm video format:
- Superior web performance: WebM videos load quickly and fluidly in browsers without overloading the memory of your computer or cell phone.
- Transparency support: You can use WebM videos with an alpha channel (transparent background), allowing rain, fog or magic effects to be superimposed on the static background!
How to send a cutscene in Behind the Scenes
- Access the “Videos and cutscenes” tab in Behind the Scenes.
- Click ”[+ Add video]”.
- Select your file in
.webmformat. - Define an identifiable name (e.g.: “Titan’s Awakening”, “Blood Rain”).
- Submission status will display real-time progress until completion.
How to run a cutscene in session
In Stage Mode:
- The list of cutscenes is accessible for shooting with a single click.
- When you click on the video, it is played synchronously for all players and Transmission to OBS.
- The video overlaps the background and portraits, creating a moment of absolute focus at the climax of the scene.
- You can stop playback at any time or wait for the video to end automatically.
