Managing backgrounds and scenarios

Backgrounds are the canvas for your Dice Queen story.They establish the immediate setting for wherever the narrative moves, from claustrophobic catacombs to celestial palaces.

How to add new backgrounds

In the Behind the Scenes Backgrounds section:

1. Click the ”[+Add Background]” or ”[+Import from Library]” button.
2. Select one or more images from your computer.
3. Recommended formats:

• WebP: Highly recommended for being ultralight and maintaining impeccable visual fidelity.
• PNG and JPG: Fully supported.

4. Recommended resolution: Images in a 16:9 aspect ratio (such as 1920x1080) guarantee perfect filling of the stage.

Organization and smart search

• Grid or List View: Switch between high-resolution visual thumbnails or compact list to browse extensive collections.
• Alphabetical ordering: Sort from A-Z to quickly find scenarios (e.g.: “Lame Goat Tavern”, “Fog Forest”).
• Quick rename: Double clicking on the card title activates inline editing.Press Enter to save or click away to discard.
• Classification by tags: Associate tags such as "cidade", "combate" or "noturno" to filter the list when narrating.See Organization with tags.

Projecting backgrounds on stage

To activate a background during the session:

• In Stage Mode, the background catalog is available in the scenery column.
• A single click on the background card instantly changes the scene in the viewer of all players and on the broadcast screen.
